Title: Which exhaust??
Post by: Col on October 07, 2005, 01:59:52 PM
My car was lagging a little so I decided to decat it earlier than planned, got it on the ramps to find the back box is blowing,

Which I reacon is the reason for slight boost problems and lack of power??
Also would this reason make the car hunt and smell of fuel a bit??

Which back box should I go for, I would like something loud but not to over the top that it would shatter windows!!

Any ideas anyone??

I have a Blitx and think it looks and sounds great! With a non silenced mid pipe it was a bit loud so I swapped that for a silenced mid pipe and the sound is fine again.
Another suggestion would be a Racing Beat or RE:Amemiya.

Col, so is the cat still on the car now?

It shouldn\'t smell of fuel if it is unless its knackered like you think.

I have a mid pipe and veilside rear box and it\'s too loud really, if I did it again I\'d go for a silenced midpipe same as Steve.

No the cat is now off the car, just running with a hole in the rear box, it is sucking up the fuel!! I have been looking at rear boxes OMG the cost is hideous, may look at Dragons SS rear box for £210 or a nice second hand one, but I know I am not getting a new HKS or Blitz!!

Have a look on Rotary Extreme, may work out abit cheaper ;) and Chuck\'sreally helpful.

Got a Greddy Ti cat back from them, which is wicked, but loud with a straight though mid pipe. Silenced mid pipe would make it quieter.

It so light, can easily hold the system up with one hand :D

Know a mate that used to have one.  Think it\'s up for sale.  He\'s gone for a Greddy one now, it ws bit restricted for him.
