Picked up my blue RX7 the night before last, and had a fantastic 4 hour drive back home in her :)
First impressions were that of "Oh christ, I should have bought a return train ticket" as she wouldn\'t start. Battery was flat as she hadn\'t been used for 2 weeks. We jump started her, came alive first time and all was well.
Oil pressure seems ok I think ( sits at about 6 under load ) and temp gauge is low to middle, even after a lot of red lining on the M1 :D
I\'m actually quite impressed with the fuel economy so far - my other car is a Honda Prelude VTEC and the RX doesn\'t seem far off the figures I get from that. Although the 7 isn\'t as quick as my Prelude, it feels like it is - can\'t quite put my finger on why, but 100 in the 7 feels like 120 in the lude. I need to get round to sorting out a new battery for her, or at least charging the current one up when I get a spare minute.
Mileage is a genuine 42 K - all old MOTs back it up, not to mention the bodywork. There\'re a couple of small trolley dents but nothing I can\'t live with. Even has the 80\'s tape deck there in immaculate condition :D Found an ancient pristine Mazda handbook and service log in the back which surprised me! Looks like previous owners really looked after her.
Anyway, I\'ll get some nice photos up in the next couple of days when i\'ve sorted the battery and polished her :D
