hiya mate i have got one on my FD, does reduce the throw but also makes the shifter alot stiffer, I quite like it but my gf had a go at drivin with it and didnt like it cause it was really stiff, but then she is use 2 driving a peugeot 106 lol
thanks for the reply, did you fit it yourself are they quite easy to fit?
yeh i did they are very easy to fit, simply unscrew the old one and screw in the new one
I had a B&M one. Like Sweetie said It did reduce the gear travel quite a bit and became quite stiff. So stiff that I didnt find gear changes between say 2d to 3rd, or 4th to 5th much quicker.
Having said that 1st to 2d, 3rd to 4th :yes
thanks for the replies, I may have a go at one. Cheers lads :)
I got a B&M kit of ebay. Cost about $170 I think, ended up paying just about £120 delivered. Took less than 15 minutes to fit.
I\'ve not tried any other kits, but the B&M is superb, I don\'t have a problem with stiffness at all (ahem), changes are much more precise, gearbox feels a lot tighter too. That said I got a gearbox, diff and engine brace fitted at the same time so not sure if it was just the shifter. Changes are really nice now though :D

Reading threads on the US RX7Club forums, it appears that some of the cheaper versions have fitment issues. Best get a proper B&M unit.
