I was invited here by Glenn and once I first visited this forum I become very happy. So many nice people with so much valuable rotary specific information and great projects. Thank you Grenn!
Well, a little about me.
I live in Moscow, Russia and tune cars. Actually this is my hobby and my primary work is a telecom services but I tend to love it more and more every new year and probably switch to tuning completly one day.
I am working with other guys here who do all mechanics and I do electronics/EMS tuning.
Mostly we like to tune japanese cars,such as 3000gts,supras,WRXs.. and of course RX-7s..
20B FD3S that I have now is my personal project that I started 5 years ago.
It was slow to build it because everything was from my personal budget and most of the parts are custom made so it required a lot of time. also some parts broke on the dyno like transmission and axles and I had to spend much time to install something new.
But this summer engine/tranny parts were finished and I first visited drag race.
My best time is not that good yet, just 10.3 but my tires spinned whole 1/4mile.
345 BFG drag radials were too small to handle it and also OHLINS damphers that I have are not very drag friendly.
I`d like to change it to HKS DRAG and fit MT ET DRAG 28 inch tires but unfortunately racing season is over here, its getting cold and autumn with raining seasonmakes drag race impossible.
So I have 6 months now to prepeare my car for the next season!
Being a rotary fun I cant just spend 6 months and do nothing to my car.
I am planing to switch to ethanol fuel and rebuild engine.
I am thinking about PP short 3 rotor engine with 1-3-2 firing order or even PP 4 rotor! Of course both turbo.
Thus if somebody could help with information about where can I get crank and other related special parts please advice!
here is some more detailed specs about my car, if someone interested:
1994 RH FD3S imported from japan
BN Sports wide body kit with some headlight kit and rear wing
rebuilt 20B with RA apex seals and big street porting
custom intake manifold with 100mm holley throttle body
Bell custom 6" intercooler with 100mm piping
ITS GT80R/BB turbo with HKS GT wastegate
Custom ethanol/water injection controlled by the EMS
twin MSD DIS4HO ignition amplifiers
AEM EMS custom tuned to run 6 coils direct ignition
custom exhaust manifold and custom downpipe and all exhaust 4 inch
ARS cuprum radiator
Driveshaftshop rear axles
TOMEI 2 way LSD
Driveshaftshop alluminium driveshaft
Transmission is an automatic rollerized TH350 (going to change to TH400)
OLINHS damphers (going to change to HKS DRAG)

Great to have you on board, please keep us up to date on the Russian scene. As far as I know you are the only person modifying FD\'s - are there any others?
What is the Drag Racing scene like there? looks pretty big!

ScuttleRX, yes this is a custom made bonnet. It looks a little weird,planning to remake it..
I used standard subframe, just lowered it a little with custom solid bushings.
Engine mounts also full custom, made from alluminium and hokkey washer :)
Engine with custom intake was too high in the top to fit to standard bonnet.
This is why.
Glenn, I might be able to visit Rotorstock! Is it in UK as I got?
I`ve been to UK one year ago for a vacation. I visited London and drove the south: Brighton,Winchester and around. That was a great trip. It could be fun if I visit UK once again with my car. But that trip is a bit difficult and expensive.. I will think about it closer to the date.
As for drag race in Russia then market for that it is dramatically growing and expanding every year.
It started just 3 years ago but now it is completly official and well organized.
Primary TV channels are recording shows and many magazines covering it.
People have money here and like to drive fast. I am sure it will grow to your level of popularity very soon and probably even overcome it.
In the same time we have no one big and well advertized tuning company at this moment. My company is a bit small but our projects are the best in Russia at this time. We did a 1000HP supra and even 950HP 3000GT, I have never heard of that powerful 3000GTs in the world yet... As for rotary then we are only one company who tune it. Most of the people here looking at my car EVEN do not understand how difficult it was to build it :)

But if you want to get leading car tuning position and get really good money then Russia is the best country in the world for that. Market for this is just opening here and The First will take all Cream. Russia is a very big country and I am getting more and more requests from the other cities as well.

i think most people on here feel the mods are getting a bit too sensitive, they have breast on TV adds now, FHM and the like are full of them and as Tim says its not like kids cant see them anywhere else.
Its not that i just want to see breasts, its the fact that i feel like we are being treated like children.................. has anyone actually complained of things on the site?, cos you have lots complaining about things being deleted recently, all the other forums dont have a problem! rant and hijack over now!
Maybe they should be put back on after 9pm (watershed) and then removed

Ivan, We are currently having an auto box built for our 20b FD and they happened to mention that they built one for a man in Russia, which i can only assume is you! We are going for a full manual street strip box, what spec did you go for?, If its long and boring, you can email me at antnicuk@ntlworld.com as these guys might start revolting if there is anything but lovelly ladies on this thread.

I was happy with CKPerformance.
They have better pricing and much more performance upgrades available.
My current setup is rollerized th350, full manual with transbrake.
but dont buy th350 for 20b, this tranny is too weak.
I am going to change it to highly modified th400.

Good on mate! great to a 3 rotor running. My one should be up there with you soon. Pity your so far away we could have put them to each other, wold have been great fun. Good luck with it. One thing, how do you find the pull to a 13B engine, is far far greater or not.
