Does anyone have any opinions on this as a replacement AST?

Not too sure, speak with Gary @ Rotarytarts.com as he orders lots of aftermarket parts, some AST\'s wont fit the rx7 so make sure its the right one before you buy it.
A local rx owner had one sent from Japan for his 3rd gen and it didn\'t do the job as the design was wrong, so please double check.

Personnally I think it looks ok. You\'d have to put your existing AST cap on, as those come with a 1.1bar cap which is not the correct pressure. Also if the bracket is not compatable you may have to either drill some new holes in that AST, or make a bracket yourself. Can\'t really complain for £30!

The hose positions are different so new coolant hose would probably be required, certainly for the hose that comes from the rad, if you are going to the bother of replacing the coolant system parts then you should be replacing the coolant hose too.

as you say the cap should be replaced too..
