Went to mazda the other week to order a coolant pipe but they can\'t seem to source the one on their system that needs replacing on my car?!? Anyway, can anyone help with the aid of these photos what the part numbers are for these pipes? The one at the back of the engine bay looks a b1tch to remove and fit. Thanks, and another thanks for ASP for stopping last night to help :)
If no-else replies, I will send it 2 night. :-) i have just replace that rear hos on my car, only to find the radiator is leaking :-(
Thanks, how did you manage to get to it?
Unfortunately, you will have to remove the Upper Intake Manifold (UIM). And even after that, it is a little difficult to get it off the rotor housing. I actually had to cut it off. The heat cycling really makes it sticky! But it can be done.
Try not to damage the clips, Mazda dont keep them, and I can find anywhere else that supplies them. :-(
no worries mate,
so what pipe was it then,
wasnt a nice site cumin round the corner n u got lots of steam all over the place,
every 1 said ur car was quicker than stu\'s :evillaugh
the rear pipe is...
I must confess I dont recognise that one by the Alternator, where does it go from, and where to????
(And if it is part of the cooling system, which w4nker put a hose pipe on there!!! ?)
Cheers for the part number. Don\'t worry. It\'s not hose pipe, it\'s something I use on aircraft in work on the fuel systems. It was to get me down to mazda so they could locate the pipe on the car then on their system.
ASP, it was the pipe at the back of the engine in the 3rd photo. Its split on the rotor housing end. I didn\'t think there was much in it between stu\'s car and mine. Thought his was a little quicker. I\'ll sort it him out when I get the PFC. :burnout I\'ve lost stus number, I\'ll have to get it again.
I suppose, if that hose broke then hose pipe would be ok for a TEMPORARY fix.
Ive been to look on my car, and in the service manual, and I still cant find that particular one in the parts list. Does it go from the water pump to the front Rotor housing?
by the way, I had to look in the "emission control" section to find the first one. I think its job is to warm up the throttle body.
Instead of hose pipe, I would suggest go to Halfords and get some pipe suitable for Fuel injection and use that instead. Dont forget the cooling system get pressurised... 13PSI or so.
From memory it looks to go to the front rotor housing from the water pump. The car is a few miles away locked up. I\'ll take a look later in the week and take some more photos too. I appreciate the help martiny. Mazda were none the wiser when I took the car down and said I\'d need to book it into the work shops for them to have a proper look. :o(

What a nightmare trying to change the back one. I\'ve spent since 5pm tonight trying to get the pipe off and still no luck. I\'ve thrown the towel in and teddies out the cot. Also think there are some pipes missing from under the inlet manifold. :(

pipe should be in mazda tomorrow morning, £7 it cost. I lost my temper pulling the pipe off ending up with about an inch long stub left on the rotor housing and the metal clip still on. It\'s the metal clip being a tw4t. If you think you can get it off you are welcome to have a blast. It\'s over my parents house about a mile away from my house.
I\'ll need to get a new gasket too on the throttle body side.
Jame5 , can you get to that clip with a pair of long nose pliers? You will need to get the clip off before that piepe will come off, I think.
I\'m going to pinch some long nose pliars from work tomorrow and give it a try. If not I\'ll cut the clip and order one from mazda tomrrow along with the gasket
lol i thought that ud slid the clip up the pipe b4 u tryd 2 take the pipe off,
iv got loads of the pinch clips if u need any,
I tried my best with the tools I had  :rollin I\'ll try the long nose tomorrow and see if I can get it off.
Dont break that clip, Mazda dont keep them, and I cannot find where alse to get them.
ASP can I buy those clips somewhere? I wouldnt mind doing all my vacuum hoses up with those littel spring clips. Some people recommend cable ties, but I tested and they dont help much.
You will need quite a long pair of long nosed pliers, by the way.
i work next to a scrap yard,so what ever bits n bobs i need i just pop in there and get it,
quite a few cars hav them pinch clips on them,
Yes the clips are on most cars, thats why im surprised that I cant get them anywhere.
