I see your problem, someones fitted your center plate the wrong way around?? (Third pic) LOL ;)

I tell you what, you\'ve done a nice job on the detailing, i remember seeing your car at Pips (before you bought it) and it was the Built for speed look. Nice Motor M8.

Mate, dunno how to tell you this, but some ****er has had your seals away :(  Its never gonna run like that.

What are the plates like in terms of scoring?

Post by: TRex on September 19, 2005, 08:18:55 PM
Brett I want her back on the road ASAP naturally. But I have so many things I need/want to do to her for it to be \'how I want it\', that it will take time to do and I also want to enjoy doing it, not rushin it!
I\'ll save the \'rushing\' it for the strip....  :D

I\'ll try updating the thread as I go along with photos etc..

But to answer your question, I have done \'THIS\' (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18405)!
Thought I\'d get a little run about to keep me relaxed in the meantime....

Yes not cheap at all, especially with 3 mm seals etc... (could of bought a couple EGI\'s easily)
And yes the grinder/dremel has been working overtime....

Made quite a bit of progress, more than I expected/would like.
Mainly due to some helper monkeys, sorry I meant, some keen friends that kept hanging around begging to help....  which naturally I didn\'t mind as at least I had peeps to make the tea and cakes while I did all the work!

(trex runs and hides as they post on here)

>wince<  I know how much a seal/gasket set is, let alone the tips etc.  (I paid more than I sold my EGI for in rebuild parts..)
Are you replacing the side and corner seals too?
What are the end plates like for wear?
Did you open up the slots in your rotors yourself?
Are the ceaseless questions annoying yet?
 etc....

 :D

Replacing everything.. all seals
Once replacing new Apex seals you should deffo replace all corner seals etc.
End plates are all great, no wear at all and no corrosion at water areas. Front housing was replaced as had some marks, could of been re-used.

This is a glance of whats to come... (just a dress rehearsal)
