I have had my car for 4 months now, since owning it I have spent so much money keeping it on the road, I never thought a car could be this expensive to run. I don’t think I can justify keeping the car :(
Can someone give me a rough idea how much I should advertise it for?

The car will be at the RE RR day on the 1st and at the JP show on the 24/25th on the opie stand and Santapod RWYB japshow then after that its for sale.
What do you think it\'s worth?
If tis in top nick Id say £8000.... its a lovely clean motor, Im just working off the year.

Just keeping it on the road, the car hasn\'t gone wrong once, starts fine 1st time every time, hot or cold, drives extremely well and is bloody quick! BUT it costs me the earth on fuel, insurance and the rate I go through rubber is unreal :3gears-lh
You need to get yourself a little AX or 106 diesel for everyday use mate. You tend to cover a lot of miles I\'ve noticed, so a little diesel will probably pay for itself inside of two months, even with tax and insurance.
I do far too many miles in the RX, can\'t help it as I love driving it :cool I think a little runner is on the cards and garage the pearl one for the winter. Won\'t make my decision \'till after JapShow, depends if I get into the 12\'s :rollin
Get a Mazda 323, they are dirt cheap and ULTRA reliable. And its a MAZDA!

You\'d regret selling her so soon a 2nd hand banger is definately the way forward even if it only lasted a year. You can pickup road worthy buckets for under £300 these days. Not teaching you to suck eggs or anything mate I just think after all the effort you have put in you\'d be kicking yourself later on. Just think at weekends you could hop in your beast and enjoy it even more after spending your working week in a 4 pot oil burner!!!!!

Tell me about it , mines been off the road since May and i am supprised at how much money i actually have each month thats not consumed by the car , i brought an L reg rover 216SLi for £300 and its a beast (got the Honda B16 engine) and i love the little ****er i just drive this every where and when i get the RX back ill just use her for fun evenings and weekends :D
£20 in the rover lasts about 2 weeks and i can do upto 400 miles and its still got plenty to go haha :eek:

Give me a shout mate. Sorry to see this is what you are considering. If it is any help, Em\'s Corsa is up for sale, and it\'s cheap. Think long and hard about it, especially after all the money you have spent on it, it\'s one of the prettiest RX\'s i\'ve seen!!

I definitely look into getting a runaround. I have a 1.2 Corsa for most of my driving and then use the rex on weekends. It must be saving me a fortune in petrol as the Corsa lasts for a age on a full tank, plus the tyres just don\'t seem to wear. I used to have an Integra Type-R as my only car and that ended up costing me loads in petrol and tyres. It\'s probably costing me less to run the Corsa daily and the Rex on weekends than the Type-R all the time. Plus when you drive a car like a Rex daily you get slightly desensitised to it to a degree, after driving a Corsa all the time when you get in the Rex you appreciate it all the more. Food for thought
