Title: Fitting defi gauges??
Post by: gavink on September 15, 2005, 06:55:39 PM
Hi all....

Got a couple of Defi gauges today (Boost and oil temp) but i have a few questions regarding fitting...

Where can i get the sensor attachment block for the oil temp sensor from? (just says commercially avaible in the instruction manual)

Ref the boost hauge - its says i have to add the vacumn hose to the surge tank and fuel regulator..cant i just fit the hose to the little nipple on the upper intake manifold?

Many thanks :)  :)

gavin :)

Hello mate...

I got my t - piece bit for the oil pressure sensor from demon tweeks...  Just make sure you get the right thread.

As for the boost sensor just connect it to the nipple you have mentioned.  This is what i did on my defi gauges and they worked fine  :)

Good Luck

Adam

Yep, I got the Greddy sandwich plate on mine. It sits between the oil filter and the engine, and has various tap points for plugging in temp and pressure sensors. A bit of a squeeze to get it in, but works really well. I also tapped into the little nipple on the intake manifold for boost.
