I am getting a noise that sounds like a fan belt type noise (only way to describe it ) at start up in the morning .... if i leave the car running for a few minutes and drive off it only lasts till it is warm ...
do you still have the air pump? These can make the most alarming noises at times. They say "never oil", but if you get busy with some WD40 (engine NOT running, ignition OFF) on the clutch on the front of the pump, it normally sorts these things out.
The air pump has been disconnected and does not pump air but is still on the car.
I think some WD40 is needed as it does sound a bit like some Lube is needed . Cheers Mate .
does sound a bit like a wiring noise .. it went away last night after work when the car got to 60 degrees .
if you have a loud inlet system, you can often hear the Throttle Bypass Valve. If you remove the white plug on the bulkhead side of the plenum while it\'s making the noise, you should be able to determine if it\'s that or not. If it is, I don\'t know how to fix it. In the past, I have removed them when running apexi power fc\'s and got rid of the wwwwwooooooooooo noise.
Ill give it a go and see if i can find it . Cheers mate
The noise goes away when it is almost warm just i worry to much !
