Hello,
I have bought some bodykit parts from somebody, and he has asked me if anyone with an FC, FD or RX8 would be interested in a group buy on some GForce coilovers.
The price would be £595.
Features are:
Full length adjustable shocks, meaning you can set the ride height without making the ride crap at the same time.
Spring pre load adjustment
Full height adjustability - they go LOW,
Upper mounts included
32 way adjustable damping
That is all the info I have at the moment as I have only just received the e-mail having been on holiday.
Just thought I would let you all know, in case anyone was interested.
Sounds intresting, would like to see some more info. Anyone heard of them before?
New suspension is getting high on the shopping list!
I will ask for some more info and post it, as soon as I get the reply.
thanks and ditto, new suspension surely on the cards, let us have some more info !
Ash
Definately interesting..............
Shaun
Just received a reply, saying:
"They won\'t have heard about G-Force as basically it\'s exclusive to us. We
have certain contacts with factories that produce parts for various
different manufacturers and these coilovers come from one such factory.
Right now they already make kits for a well known brand that\'s been
available officially in the UK now for about 18 months."
I have bought quite a few things from them in the past for various jap cars and have always found them to be very good to deal with, he also said to get the units at that price we only need an order of 5 minimum.
Anything more you need to know, ask and I will pass it on.
Completely off topic, but i thought i was the only RX7 owner who lived near Carlisle, nice to see some one close to me has one as well :):):):):)

LOL, I was feeling a little lonely myself.
I have only seen two RX7`s in Carlisle, and only had the chance to speak to one of the owners. I think he said he had just collected his car from the local mazda dealer after a mjor rebuild :(
We will have to meet up some time, I am often over the border going to Dumfries.
Ian
Ian,
What would the normal price be, ie how much would we be saving by buying as a group buy?
What sort of warranty and back-up is there? any testing been done on them (thinking long term), racing, etc?
forgive me for loading you with questions, but im very keen on some new shocks and want to get the right good for the job- day to day driving and the odd track day.
Thanks in advance for your response.
Rich
Any feedback from people who have these already fitted ? does\'nt have to be on an RX7, would be nice to know how they ride.
I have a set of NPG Bridgestone Spec ST adjustable coilovers on mine and the ride is bloody hard, in fact to hard to be honest, so i might think of changing them.
I live just over the border from Carlisle up the A7 if you see me about either in Carlisle or Dumfries give me a flash.
what wheels are u running they are very very nice
Phew, go out to do some shopping and a mountain of e-mails etc arrive.
tr1cky and NixRX7:
Hello, no problem with the questions. .
They come with a full warranty, and the lad who got in touch with me owns the importer/store that you will be purchasing from, and he only sells equipment he will use on his own vehicles.
I know there are some lads on SXOC using them. S13 and S14/a.
Not sure on how much you will be saving, I will ask for you and post back as soon as he replies.
Very nice rex NixRX7. I must admit I have never seen your car around, though if I do I will certainly give a flash. Have`nt a new pic of my car but it is a Montego Blue with C/Fibre vented bonnet, large new wheels and currently waiting to get a Knightsports spoiler fitted. (If you know anyone who is good at spray painting that would help cheers, no-one seems to want to do body mods!!). If not in the Rex I will be in a Dark Blue Jeep or on a Red Motorcycle
Ian
Right, hopefully this info will help your decisions along nicely.
"The retail on these hasn\'t been decided yet but consider the equivalent Tein
is Type Flex cos it\'s the cheapest Tein kit with proper solid upper mounts
for front and rear, at £1057.50 inc vat. The kits are used in racing out in
Asia and they will come with 1 year warranty. We are being supplied all the
overhaul parts needed and in the event of a problem under warranty we will
replace the damper, not fix it! We will also carry a number of spare
springs so people can get new ones if they find the ride is too hard / soft
for their needs. You can choose a spring rate when ordering the kit, from
4kg to 22kg."
Hope that helps, if you need anymore help, just ask and I will try my best.
Nobody with an FC or RX8 Interested ???
I am interested. Have 91 FC.
John
Hello John,
I was just wanting to make sure all the interest was`nt for FD`s, as he has units for the FC and 8 ;)
Ian
Cheers mate, look forward to hearing more news.
John
Ta for the Info, and i\'ll look out for you when i am out and about.
RX7Veilside, glad you like the wheels, they are Works Meizter SZR 17" the offset is not quite right on them as they stick out a little to far, so i might have to get the archs flared or a widebody kit :)
Hello Nick,
Here is the picture of the Chargespeed kit and Bonnet.
(Still not worked out how to send in a PM!)
i like that bonnet.......where can I get one?
If I tell you, then I have to shoot you :p
If you send an e-mail to: dan@srb-power.com he will get back to you quicker than a Traffic Warden at an expired parking meter.
It is the Chargespeed Carbon Fibre Vented Bonnet. It is so light too, when I lifted the box I thought the cheeky bugger had sent an empty one.
........... now where`s mah gun ? :D
right - very interested in the coilovers, but can someone who knows more than me about suspension recommend a spring strength for road use and the occasional track day??? my eibach springs are way too hard (says 29!)
ash
Hello Ash,
I would speak to Dan and tell him what you currently use, he would then be able to advise you on a spring.
And he says he will change them to a different one if you find those unsuitable, until you get something you like.
ok, will do!
Going on holiday for two weeks this Monday, will have to sort it out when i get back, but consider me one of the five!
Thanks
ash
Whats the latest with this??
Have the five been found? Anyone fitted them yet?- results!?
Rich :wave
Hello,
Sorry I have`nt been keeping things uptodate. I am in the middle of moving house and my previous internet connection was cancelled so I have to beg and borrow internet time from friends or the library.
Going by the posts here, AshC is definitely interested, anyone else ?
I am off work from Wednesday for 4 weeks so will have time to get internet access.
I paid, and got a receipt - and was told that the shipment is coming over in November. I will phone up during the first week and find out whats happening
Ash
Hello Ash,
I had a reply from dan the other day saying the same thing, don`t worry he will let you know when the shipment arrives in this country.
I wish I could have got a set myself but a house purchase means all my money is tied up at the moment :(
If anyone else is thinking of ordering a set please get in touch with Dan before the end of the week and you may be lucky and make the deadline.
How did these go ?
Ashc did you get yours ?
What do people think of them ?
Anyone know if the special deal is still around if people do like them ?
hi Gary, unfortunately i had a mishap with my rex on 29th november 05, and therefore cancelled the order and got a refund. Gutted!
I bought a set in the end, and just travelled down to RS and back with them and found the ride to be very nice. Ride Height is lower than my originals (Which is good)
Will ask about a deal, he may or may not, just see what happens
I am keen to hear if we can do a deal, how many orders and price
Hello Phil,
I hope to hear back either today or tomorrow about the possibility of a group buy as he is letting me know about a few other items too.
Ian
cool i did draft an email together myself which i was going to send off, but if thats the case i will hold off.
Here it is:
"Can be a mix of FC3S, FD3S, SE3P (RX8 if you don\'t already know that one
lol)
5+ minimum needed @ £595
10+ @ £550
All inc vat. Delivery is £15 to UK mainland, £25 to Scottish highlands. We
can ship anywhere in the world
Adjustment is now 22 stage instead of the OTT 32" (Which mine is)
The prices would have been lower, but now they use airfreight instead of shipping.
Normal price is £672+VAT and Del, i am up for this.
If we can get another 4 or 9 people, then we can go ahead with it :)
Do you think its worth creating a new post in Group Buys?
How is the company going to handle it once we have the numbers just each phone up quoting the group buy?
Hello Phil,
Thats probably a good idea to do the thread in the "Group Buys" section.
Once we get the numbers needed for the discount, preferably aiming for the 10 then I will arrange a discount code with the supplier which I will give to you then you phone or e-mail with your order.
**Please note, I am making nothing from this, I bought mine at full price after the original deal fell through **
I understand that your not benefiting, if you want to pass the contact to me i can always sort it (see what the response is like).
see how the interest goes on these other wise i might just look at the D2 racing set £630 inc VAT.
*forgot this forum doesn’t have a group buy section do you think its ok to post on FDUK
Quote from: Phil Dasilva*forgot this forum doesn’t have a group buy section do you think its ok to post on FDUK
LOL, I found that out.
I have already posted it on the FDUK group buy section just to make sure we can get the numbers.
I added the note on the end previously for the benefit of others looking at the thread, in case they thought I might gain from this.
If anyone does want to order some of these, then phone 01375 392777, ask for Dan and mention my name.
Did many actually get these? I\'d like to know how they went and how they compare to the equivalent Tein products? I may have to sort some suspension bits out for the Slippery Banana :)
I have a set of these on my car and found a great improvement over the coilovers which were originaly on (not sure of the make though) but cannot compare these with any tein products as I have neve had, nor ridden in a vehicle with them.
We would need somebody with a tein setup to drive mine for comparison.
can anyone offer a comparison with a tein setup? i feel i may need some new shocks soon and would be interested-i don\'t want to spend a grand if i can help it!
Is this still going on, I could be interested.
You can phone Dan on 01375 392777,he will be able to let you know the score. You never know :mmmm
What were folks opinions on these / experience with them?
bump bump..
Quote from: PointmanYou can phone Dan on 01375 392777,he will be able to let you know the score. You never know :mmmm
I have a set and like them, though as I have mentioned before, I cannot compare them to other brands as I haven\'t used them.
Speak to Dan on the above number, he has vehicles with both set-ups so can give you a better idea.
