Title: ID that Diff time
Post by: thebandit on September 08, 2005, 03:06:40 PM
Right then guys and girls, need a lil help. I have an 89 EGi.

I have 2 Diffs at the moment (One on the car one off the car)

I understand there were 2 types of casings for diffs on FC3S. one being the big type for turbo II and a smaller weaker version for EGi. Ive been led to understand the EGi one is the same as MX5?

Just trying to work out which type I have on my car at the moment as im going to purchase an aftermarket turbo II 2-way diff and wanna find out if i have to go and buy a big type casing or if i already have one. So im in need of pics of the two differnt types. Any help would be great!

i used to be a hard core biker out in all weathers everyday but now the bike is my summer toy.

i bet you can guess really. come on ill give you some clues. tokico 6 pots would give you an idea of the bike and the approx year (not the latest crop of radial mounts )

how many blue bikes can you think of?

its not quite the full  1litre sporst bike.

it could be considered the soft opton ( although id like to show that person just how soft it is )

well ??? :D  :D  :D

YES !! Flippin right for a change  :eek .

Am I a biker? That\'s a tough question for me, really. Always been around bikes from age 1. Most fellas had bikes in the 60\'s and my Dad was no exception......... Started riding on the roads when I was 16 (ped), at 17 passed full bike test (as it was in \'76) owned various jap and brit bikes, last being a 1973 Triumph Trident T150V......eventually owned a Reliant Robin in \'83 (only had a bike licence but 3 kids!) as stuck at RAF Kinloss then so needed transport. Passed car test in \'84. Posted to RAF Halton and was i/c the bike club, had a gsx400f then.

My last bike was a Yam Thunderace but it and me ended up underneath a lorry in \'98, 3 months in hosp & 1 yr off work, blah, blah, blah....

Am I still a biker? I am but I just don\'t own one - keep threatening to get another tho\'. That\'s the v. short version of how I came to get an RX8 mate.

Be happy to meet up some time tho\'. Got a \'one off\' bike vid and pics! :cheers

P.S. I still can\'t help with the diff!!!!!!! :xconfused
