Hi All,
Ok I took my car out for a run tonight, it was all good until I was on my way home, foot to the floor out of a roundabout (checking the oversteer comfortably on a nice dry road!) and when the revs got nicely into secondary turbo territory (around 5000 rpm) the boost started to do what I can only describe as \'flutter\'.
It was kind of pulsing on and off quite gently but never getting up to full boost. Obviously I didn\'t push it as it was quite worrying, i did rev it high once more a few minutes later to check it wasn\'t a one-off but it did exactly the same.
All the gauges were reading good, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, intake etc, the knock never went over 25 but the red engine light did flicker on when it was \'fluttering\'
The car was rebuilt and tuned last month at Re:worx, I don\'t think the plugs were changed, and they mentioned a bigger fuel pump would give me more power. So I am thinking either the fuel pump is having trouble (injector duty got up to 96% on tonights run) or the spark plugs need a change?
Sorry for the massive post but i\'m trying to give as much info as possible, does anyone else have any ideas?
Car has 3inch straight through exhuast, big intercooler, filters, running 275bhp at .8 primary and .7 secondary boost
I\'d defo change the plugs, solved alot of minor niggles I had with mine like what your explaining :)
96% duty is high, maybe the injectors need a clean out or replacing?
