I need something FIA/MSA approved ideally so making my own pikey style is out of the question. Ive emailed custom cages as they dont state what year for rx7 it is

Cheers for the suggestions though guys!

They went bust about 2 months ago and have resurfaced under a slightly different name. Trouble is they now only really make cages for popular stuff, they still do all their old lines (alegedly) but they will charge through the nose for it

For an MSA/FIA approved cage I\'d say you are looking at £500-600 for a bolt in ready made one or half as much again for a custom one. Thats the sort of ball park I was looking at for my rally car. Ended up with a bolt in one from Germany.

some cage manufacturers to try

Heigo (German)
Weischers (German)
OMP (Italian ... can be dodgy build quality on some cages!)

P.S a lot of the Japanese cages do NOT meet the current FIA/MSA rules.

Ok, May be worth reading all the thread next time ;)

Thats a bit of a Bugger. They made quite nice cages too.

I could be wrong but i seem to remember one of the Tuners saying somthing about makeing cages for FC\'s? may have been Ross at Dragon?

Safety devices still going apparently, not on the scale it was before tho i think. Ive emailed them this morning asking if they are still doing RX7 cages. Got a few fall back options, lots of different makes in the US for some very reasonable prices! Gonna be stung for shipping though i reckon! Also been thinking, FIA/MSA approval is not a major concern just yet (hopefully not in future) so thats gave me more scope on what i can get. Ideally looking for 6 point bolt in with doorbars. And saftey devices used to do just the job, with the added bonus of a removable rearcross bar so i can fit more wheels in the back on my way to the circuit :D
