This might seem an odd question, but for arguments sake:
rx7, type R with mods to 300bhp,
20 quid of fuel (20 litres) how many miles could i go on the motorway at 80mph?
About 100 id guess
moving to the correct section
yes, about 100, give or take.
Would you say that would be better/worse or the same as a skyline 32GTR or supra TT ?
I still cant decide what car to go for..........!
I\'d say worse. The rotary does drink petrol for fun !
Shaun
considering its £60 to fill and you\'d only get about 220miles from it with £20 Id guess about 70 odd miles although maybe with the right foot being gentle you might squeeze 100 from it...

... go for the diesel mate. If you\'re worried about fuel economy and milage that is. Any performance car will guzzle fuel but the rotary has me amazed
£10 diesel covered me during last week, £60 optimax in one day but I know which is more fun to drive :chat :3gears-lh
to be honest im not that fussed on MPG even though uk fuel cost is extortion !
I just wondered if it would be \'much more\' or your would notice much more than an r32GTR or supra TT.
The rx is lighter than the gtr or supra, and all are twin turbo and around 2.6L or equivelant, so i previously thought due to less weight the rx would be best....
MY 3 prioritys for my next car are:-
[1] fun to drive
[2] reliability
[3] feeling of speed/speed
and pretty much got to be either rx7, r32 gtr or supra TT
Without getting too mathematical; 20 litres is 4.4 gallons, so @ approx 22 mpg, thats 97 miles. So like the other guys said; about 100 miles :)
you get a lot more if you get out your bed earlier and do 65mph down the motorway! ;)

I got 23mpg when I did that. Best say about 80 miles instead of 100 then!
If you want comfort on the m-way then get the R32, if you want fun get the RX7.
Wont be much difference in the fuel tbh, but the R32 will be slightly better.

when was the last time you filled up?... @£1 a litre it is about 75quid to fill up these days mate... unless you are running 95ron from tescos or something...
not having a go though...
true what is said about going slower... even 70 will make a marked inprovement... and rx7\'s are the most fun car to drive out the those three... as for looks it wins hands down... thought reliability... might not come top...
look into my eyes... you are feeling sleepy... you will by an rx7 and will not care about fuel economy and laugh at the other choices....
mmmwwwoooooooaaaaarrrrrr MMMWWWOOOOOOOOAAAAARHHHHHHHHH
Lemster, I filled it too the brim about 1 month ago (probably about 95p a litre then) and got something like £62 in it to the point it was leaking  cant see 5p a litre making it more costly to fill... to be fair though its probably £75 a tank when you fill it from bone dry but I never let a car run that low... ever
my average fill is 60 quids worth, after changing my fuel filter and knowing what a pig of a job it is, i have no intention of shortening the life of the new filter by letting it run too low of fuel!! ;)
yeah I here what you are saying... Idont let mine run dry either, but putting 20 quid in to top up isnt really filling it ...
anyway we aint gonna get into that...
should really change my fuel filter as I dont know when it was done if at all but dont seem to ahve the time to do it and dont want to pay the price of getting it done might do it at next oil change...
i hope you like the taste of optimax! :)
well I have become accustomed to the smell of it due to my inlet manifold gasket having a hole in it akin to the breech in the new orleans levee mmmmm optimax
Back to the original question :) As the man said: If you are looking at a lard arse, skybus or the delectable Sexy Rexy you aint going to see much difference in MPG [if you are worried about it dont even bother looking at them] overall running cost wont differ much - re-builds well thats another ball game, re-build on a \'7\' expect 3k on the other 2 loads ££££££££££££
Cant remember where I read this but Skylines cost neally £5000 for the parts alone to rebuild (surely not  )
Just to add to fuel thingy - I brimmed mine before I went to WGT and when the needle finially dropped to the halfway point I had done 220miles (ie 440 to a tank! - surely not  ( again! :) )
