Title: Additional injecters.....
Post by: McCARTHY on September 06, 2005, 11:42:56 AM
I have seen a few FD\'s that run more than the stock positioned 4 injectors. Instaed they use 6. the normally positioned primary and secondaries but also 2 others positioned in the plenum or elbow. Is there a benifit to this and what size injecters would you use in these 3 positions if you where to go with this set up?

i think people use this set up as opposed to getting bigger secondaries, i think using smaller injectors gives a finer spray, and a fine spray from two sets of secondaries will give a better mix then from one set of larger secondaries.. I think! dont quote me on that!  :)

Also, auxillary injectors help with better atomisation of fuel.

This could indeed be they way to go then.... that and a couple of 044\'s should sort the fueling out nicely..... would i use 3 sets of 850\'s? or just keep the sock primaries with 2 sets of 850\'s?

I would have thought that standard primaries will be fine if you are putting inan extra set of injectors...probably best speak to one of the tuners...
