Title: some kind of cut?
Post by: 93type-x on August 30, 2005, 08:32:48 PM
I not long had a rebuild done and a bit of porting... all good but I now get some sort of cut at 6500 .. boosting to .7/.8 sometimes less on non seq ,stock ecu, with fuel cut defensor, safc and a big V mount ic... still have cat on... Before the rebuild I could redline it but not now... Is this a built in thing to stop me killing it or an electrical thing?  I have tried without the apexi and no change   and I got done :spank by a 180sx (THE SHAME) feel free....  :flamed

Im a little confused. You say you have the stock ECU but then later you say you have tried it without the Apexi. Is that the Apexi PFC??
Firs thing I would say you need to do is get an Apexi fitted and mapped asap. With those mods the stock ECU will never handle it. Id also suggest fueling mods. Although you have a FCD I doubt that will be stopping the fuel cut.
That two things will deffo help!

is it an adjustable boost cut defender,  it may not be working,  as above, i would get a power FC,   best 500 quid plus mapping you will spend,  especially on your new engine as you may find the warranty will not cover it if it goes bang due to detonation.
