Found this exhaust and its nice and shiny. being like a magpie (i like shiney stuff) i think that maybe we should sort out a group buy on this item?
i think that some of us need a new exhaust dont we? have a look at the price already, if enough of us get it might save a packet on shipping too? i have just worked it out it will cost about 300 pound delivered to the uk, thats not including the tax? anuyone know how much the tax percentage is?

1. The Fc looks better with twin pipes.
2. I won\'t use their stuff.
Just be careful with exhaust stuff from the states (because their cars are left hand drive) some exhaust bits dont fit.

I would have to disagree with you on the first thing, im not keen on twin boxes one bit, but everybody to there own eh :p
be careful buying ssautochrome goodies,
flimsy steel and poor welds = lots of cracks later on
Its the down pipe i would have an issue with but i could probably find a way around that?
fc does look better with twins but i think i can grow to like one single shiny exhaust, it would probs flow better? that exhaust would be frickin LOUD haha thats not such a bad thing for a car i wont be driving all the time.
Andy you say that they have poor welds and etc, have you bought something off them before? is there a thread RE. them?. im already put off buying it now.. cos if there is a problem with it i wont be in a good position to send it back!
for 300 quid plus, you could buy back boxes from abay for 29 quid each and have someone make the rest. I bought these from ebay UK, they were quite heavy duty, i was very impressed. Some SSautocrome does crack, to make it look nice they grind all the welds off.
FC\'s are very easy to make exhausts for as the exhaust is pretty much flat with just a couple of shallow bends, there is no u-bend over the axel.
Yes, that will be VVV loud.....

I\'ve had mixed experiance with Autochrome, I bought a manifold from them a while back and it was S**t no too ways about it (the Bolt holes didn\'t line up and it was made from exhaust tube which was way too thin), but i have recently bought another one of theres by mistake and that was quite good realy? Only thing i could say is the manifold to turbo flange was the wrong shape?
I would say NEVER!!! buy one of there Turbo kits as the Turbo\'s are cheap Truck Turbo\'s and last about five minutes.
As for the Exhaust, I am not sure. If the welds look ok then the only other thing that could be bad on it is the Packing and if thats Fiberglass instead of Stainless Wire you\'ll notice large fire balls coming out of your exhaust whilst or just after a good thrashing.
As for Single or twin Exhaust, I like Twins if there done right but therev are pro\'s and cons for both.
The Twins are heavier than the single (oviously) but flow better and look better (in my opinion) but the Outlets are usaly smaller becouse of the twins drop down in pipe bore (3"-2X 2 or 2.5") But the Big down fall is getting a big bore Sytem quiet enough for the road.
The single Is easyer to quiet down but has a problem with ground clearance (on my car as its low) when the 3" pipe goes under the diff and it looks a bit odd as there is a Cut out on the other side for the other tail?
Well, I\'m gonna buy one just to settle the curiosity :) Even if it does break up after a couple of years, for that price you cant knock it.
(Comparison, SS exhasut delivered to the UK is about £280, thats about the same price as an HKS Down pipe IIRC)

I\'ve had one of these exhausts fitted to my car since the end of January. It went on without any mods, no problems with quality so far. Word of warning, it\'s very loud.
I picked mine up for $199 on Ebay plus the same for postage :mad: Got lucky with the import charges though £0 :)

Well it arrived at 12:30pm, well boxed up, no sign of any damage. I\'ll lay it out on the grass when I get home and take a pic.

The \'CAT\' they supply is pretty much a mid box, in fact I\'d go so far as to call it a CAT replacement pipe! Still for that money I cant complain! :D

And another. The quality of the metal work is pretty good, the welds seem pretty sound, none have been ground away (Only to remove burrs anyway).

Heres the turbo end of the down pipe.
Heres the mid pipe and straight through silencer thats masquerading as a CAT (I will be getting onto SS Auto Chrome about their questionable advertising....)
And heres the tail pipe. It comes with a removable muffler/bung which reduced the diameter from 4" to 3/4". Wether or not it will do much to the overall noise level remains to be seen. But its gonna be a loud beastie.....which is good \'cos I\'ve not upset my nieghbours since I sold the EGi :D :burnout
I guarentee it will be loud :D , but forget the baffle it saps all the power.

I\'m going to make up a plate to sit between the downpipe and the CAT pipe, I\'ll run the air injection through there :)
The exhaust looks sweet as. for the price you cant complain and it looks very very loud! when you going to fit it then? make a vid of the noise! Im impressed with it already so im going to order one myself in the next few weeks.
Brett - i have remembered the pressure sensor and im going to send it this afternoon when i get my lunch break.
Well, if I get the time I\'ll fit it over the weekend and do a write up complete with pictures, swearing and rude hand gestures :D
