Can anyone help i have recently purchaced a RX and its making a really horrible noise from the back end!!

sounds like the boot is open, like a knocking noise, its got full adjustable suspension on it,could this noise have anything to do with the suspension?

cheers

Marc

Check the lower arms on the rear, lots of these cars are 10+ years old, most get the suspension looked at and the bushes neglected.
Or you boot may be open :-)

Check your boot, some peoples have been known to close but remain loose leading to rattling...

What rear spoiler do you have, if any?

Seems really daft, but I worked beside someone who thought there was a big problem with his car and it turned out he just hadn\'t tightened the spare wheel enough.

The boot lid catch is quite a common one, was one of the first things I adjusted when I got my rex.  Really easy to do, just pull the central cover off the inside of the boot, under the two bolts holding the catch down and slide the whole thing down a bit and tighten back up.

Boot\'s a bit harder to shut but doesn\'t rattle.  If you\'re still getting a funny sound then it\'s probably not the boot lid  :D
