why is a smaller 1st gen almost as much as a 3rd gen?

cos there was so much uneeded c..(sorry) bits on the car,the overall length and width is smaller but there is so much old school s.....on it,remember its all steel ..

I can believe it, but its a supprise, If I look under the bonnet I can climb in there, and the 3 rd gen you cant move. And its so small next to it. So tune a 3rd gen as opposed to a 1st for same gains.

With the 1 st gen...you can really get you imagination take the road...put the motor and gearbox where you want to.and work around that, the suspension work is easier cos there is more room and more "meat" to work with, its more robust ?you can cut and weld, scupltor etc.and its more SEXY

Bearing in mind all removable panels and doors were not steel and front fenders were were half size cos the wheels were so big, half the ass was cut out ot accomodate the reworked rear suspension, roll cage was light weight materials, windows were ultra thin etc

I would guess they were dry weights from mazda figures or the like. I.e. no oil, water, fuel etc.

And the US got some real poverty spec models without all the electrics we got + it could be an SA22C and not an FB
