Im about to fit a profec b boost controller to my rx7, can anyone tell me how much boost you can run on stock twins without killing them??? Also is it right that you can put the controller on either one turbo or both, if so which is best.
u shouldnt be altering the boost unless u are running a aftermarket ecu and are having the map altered to match the boost as a guide no more than 0.9bar max i wld say but i am by no means an expert..dont be in a hurry to up the boost without having it done maybe on a rolling road..depend where u are located but re worx/geff/max have a lot of experience with the profec as max runs one on his car and they set mine up the other day
Well, Warthog runs 1.3 bar boost on stock twins....but he\'s done a lot of other mods to make sure thats safe boost (Including water injections).
I think if you just \'turn the boost up a notch\' you run the risk of killing more than just the turbo\'s. Bes\' consult a proper tuner mate. The last thing you want is to send your engine to rotary heaven.
