Title: where to start tuning?
Post by: nikp on August 15, 2005, 12:06:55 PM
Ok, I have a near standard FD. Only parts added are induction kit and big bore exhaust (But not a CAT by-pass).

I have heard conflicting reports on where to start tuning and I\'d like to have it cleared up so I don\'t go messing things up.

Should I upgrade the fuel pump and injectors first for better fuelling (where some reports are that this is a bad thing to do first), or can I start with Apexi ECU (Shortly followed by CAT by-pass)?

Please give advice!

I would invest in an apexi ECU first so you can keep the AFR correct with any other mods you will do.

Everyone has different idea\'s on what can be done before needing to upgrade the fuel system.

I would get the Apexi first, then a full exhaust system.

Get that checked out and then go from there.
