Title: check valves
Post by: Madden on August 13, 2005, 06:30:24 AM
Hello

I have been have problems with my fd since i took the double throttle butterflys out.  Found out the problem the check valves have stoped working not letting any vacume through anyway what so ever.   My question is do i need to use the one way valves or can i just leave them out?   Also where could i get a couple of them from?  Do the mazda dealers normally keep them in stock? and how much?

You DEFINITELY need the check valves.

Dealers will probably expensive (but new)

I bought some last year second hand from Jimmy\'s for £15 each.

For my current car I got mine from Dale Clark on rx7club.com. Delivery was lightning quick. $25 shipped for 4 valves.

See here to order

As the advert says, they are a little loose, so you should probably use 3.mm hose for the lines with valves in them.

These are pretty heavy duty though! http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=164819&highlight=viton+check
