Are you sure it is an LSD? If it is it should be the clutch plate type, and there will be a tab on the filler plug saying LSD.

Hi Tim,
I did your test,   (jack it up and turn one wheel) there was resistance and the other wheel turned the same way.  It also leaves two nice black lines when with the line lock.    The stock one would spin one wheel and the other wheel would turn the oposite way if jacked up as above.

I know the earlier series 4 diffs had a clutch pack LSD but this came out of an Efini (which apparantly has LSD as stock).  I doesnt have a tab but this may have gone missing.   Are there any other types of LSD it could be?  I will bow to your greater knowledge :god ,   so what oil should i use?,  is it only special oil if its the clutch pack type?
regards
Tony

Max Gears a fully syn oil, several FD\'s are running with 75w90 and some using on track days and the sponsored drift car is running 85w140. Depends on what you want to do with her.
