Title: Intercooler pipes
Post by: dturpin on August 10, 2005, 04:20:41 PM
Hi

I am looking for some help, I am fitting a Greddy FMIC to my FD, and I need to get some pipes made for it.
Does any know of anywhere that can supply aluminium tube with a diameter of 70mm, I need a short straight length and some bends.
Any help would be appreciated.

bends can be made with samco hose angles.... pretty cheap and straight alloy pipe can be had from pace, they will do a meter for about £7... ;)

Would like to have as little amount of samcos as possible though, will consider it if nothing else comes up.  I have just e-mailed Pace to see if they can help.
Thanks for the advice.

a meter of 70mm is about 14 quid, but the postage is quite expensive. If they cut it into 2 500mm lengths it halves the postage cost.

The samco setup does help you get up and running. Was happy to go that route just to check that i was happy with the air temp before going over to alloy pipe.

May have to take the samco approach myself.
I am after some bends more than anything as I have got a mate who can weld aluminium.
Or if anyone has got a set of pipes from a greddy fmic they don\'t want, I might have them.

Its extremely hard to find pipes. Its hard enough finding somebody to supply the alloy bends ! If your mate can weld alloy it isn\'t a bad idea. Have you worked out how many bends you think you need ?
