Yep, passenger footwell, LH side behind a triangular-ish piece of trim that you will break half of the \'poppers\' off of when you remove it :-)

Think you have to take the sill cover off first from recollection, just a few self tappers. The ecu is bolted to the LH side of the footwell in the upight poistion by a couple of screws.

That\'s on the american cars, you kidder...!!

On the imports they are under the roof lining.  The easiest way to get to it is by taking a stanley knife and quartering the roof lining.  then peel back each section until you find it.  ((sometimes it slips down the rear quarter lining, and as the interior stuff doesn\'t unclip, you may need to use an angle grinder and cut a hole in the rear wing.))

Hope that helps...

No No don\'t confuse the poor lad

Are they not contained in the dashboard plastics OJ?

Easiest way to do it is to remove the dash and put it in the OVEN to magicly reveal the ECU

:D :D

Now that\'s just stupid, what kinda plonker would do a thing like that.  Honestly, putting plastic into an oven, you\'re just asking for trouble.

Funny comedian man...

I followed what you said to the word OJ. I\'ve been told by the Mazda dealer i\'ve ruined my car and that you must have been playing a sick joke on me.

I\'ve had a quote for the repairs and it\'s in the region of £4000. I\'ll take cash or a cheque. If you don\'t pay, i\'ll scream until you do!
