Title: How much boost.
Post by: agermaney on August 06, 2005, 12:53:13 PM
Hi, Ive just looked round and driven an FD3 in veiw of purchasing my 1st RX. Please could some one enlighten me on a couple of points.

What should a standard cars boost pressure be? This one was showed 0.25bar maximum during my drive.

This is probably a daft question but, stamped on a silver plate on the fire wall and stamped into the body under the bonnet was FD3S plus a six digit number. Does this mean the car is not an \'R\' model? The speedo was in Kph so I think the car was a genuine import.

Thanks,
Andy.

Usually if it isn\'t altered in anyway then it should be around 0.7bar i think. How are you reading the boost level ??? Do you have any more info on it at all ? There should be a sticker in the drivers door cavity saying what spec it is. Usually says if it it a type r !

0.25bar is a touch low - just an ickle bit! As shaun says, should be 0.7

Should be obvious if it wrong, as the cars should move like a rocket, and if it doesn\'t, then it aint bossting proper like!
