Very nice, high level rear wing alittle too high level but at least you can see out the back window

Love the front nose  :god

Nice, I prefer the 2005 front nose myself - the indicators on the original spoil the look for me.

Ben, you are the square angular type.
I am the curvy smooth flowing type. LOL!

I actually preferred my car when It had the original Front and NOT the Cwest bar with the new indicators. It lost all it\'s curvyness.?? is that a word?
I regretted buying it actually. I had the 99 indicators and thought i needed a bar to go with them.

I looked at these Amemiya bars so many times. I actually prefer the older one. The new one has too many holes in it now and its losing its shape.
where the number plate goes, brake ducts, cooler ducts etc, just a bit busy.

They are still both great.

But when I return to Japan. I still have NO idea which nose I would purchase.

Probably the G9 shark nose. It is really growing on me. Its probably on the top of my list atm.
But I still have a soft spot for the boder type 4 front with the fixed lights.

I guess its the strange that catches my attention.

Square type huh!! You cheeky guy!

Thats what I like about the FD, the opportunity to completly tailor it to your own taste! I still love the original curves but I wanted something different, I really want the wide body Border kit too but thats alot of money and requires another FD!

rextreme, can I ask a non-related question to this thread...

I notice the RX7 in your avatar (presuming it\'s yours?) has a bit of a chequered effect going on with the panels. The bonnet looks carbon fibre, and the skirts look aftermarket too. What interested me if the fact that the fender is also different. Is it an aftermarket part, or just the original fender painted black/grey?

Cheers
Jon

My FD went through a period in Japan where it had an identity crisis.

I went to Sevens day 2003 at Fuji Speedway. I say heaps of cars with this kit.  Amemiya was having a 30% off sale there so I impulsively bought the Re-Amemiya AD-GT 20mm wider fender kit like on the car in this thread and also the Amemiya AD9 bonnet

Fender kit includes front fenders, side skirts and rear fenders.
You can also get optional fender extensions for the front as the tyre is exposed a little.

I always wanted a widebody kit but wondered about the legality and general **** i would have to go through so i didnt install it for ages as I planned to bring the car to Australia where i had access to cheap paint and facilities. But i couldnt wait. All black parts are FRP Except the Cusco Carbon rear wing. which was later stolen and were painted black in my lounge room by spray can.

I drove it like this until I exported it.

then it became the bronze beast with C-West N1 front.

Thanks for the reply mate   :cheers

I\'m looking for a set of carbon-fibre front fenders at the moment but I\'m struggling to source then cheaply.  :(

Cheers

Yeah thats the daddy!

Gotta get me one of those, I think the only bit I\'m not 100% on is the front - possibly swap it for the RE:A N1 with undersweep and all the canards. Would have to be a white one this time.

Tony, I\'ve got a link for the carbon creations ones at a slightly cheaper price somewhere on my PC if there the ones your referring to?

Yes please mate!

The ones from Carbon Creations was the ones I was referring to, from this site; //www.creativeautoonline.com They told me the shipping would be $375 and would take 4 - 6 weeks, really can\'t understand that myself. "4 - 6 weeks" sounds like surface mail, so why it would cost $375 I don\'t know.

Cheers

Ben, yes I agree the Border kit needs the a new front.
If you add RE-A N1 undersweep and all.you just run into legality issues with dangerous projections etc.

I think its good with the old one though cause you can just remove them when you drive around and put them when you want to go racing.

I just couldnt source anything like the Amemiya N1 front for under $2000 in Aus. The ****e Cwest copy i bought was only $450. It was so far out of shape I couldn\'t open the lights with the headlight surrounds on. I had to remove them and adjust the headlight covers slightly. terrible. I had to fabricate my own mounting points also.

Next one will be a known brand item from the manufacturer.

RE:A are very expensive! A big shame as they are one of the best and excellent quality - guess you get what you pay for.

Projections? Nah that wouldn\'t stop me, plus it looks so mean with all the canards. I\'m sure you\'ll get an FD with everything on it you want, Rotary Extreme do a resonable N1 nose BTW.

Dude,

I aquired that pic from the Yahoo Auctions in Japan ages ago.
Sometimes regular auction houses and small companies post on there as well as retail selling.

ps. so you know why i started the post. your car looks awesome.
