Title: Went for trade insurance..
Post by: interloper393 on August 04, 2005, 05:07:44 PM
Hey guys just a heads up..

I`v started importing cars a few months back and rather than trying to insure each car when it arrives, and canceling the policy i thought id try a few quotes for trade insurance.. and my my my what a differance.. Heres the good bits..

1. can insure up to 10 cars on the same policy
2. insured for any car
3. any modifications..
4. allows up 2 7 people on the same policy
5. Fully comp insurance
6. i can have my own car on the same insurance which is ma RX7 import

Im 25 with 5 years no claims and my quote for the year is 730 bucks, also my dad, mum and wee bro are on the policy and they gave me like 100 quid each to be added on for free fully comp insurance  :D

Best bit is, because importing is classed as my second job its cheaper,

Luving it lol u guys should look into it.. YIPEEEeee!!

woah, that\'s well cheap.

who\'s that through and how did you explain what you were looking for?

when I looked at trade insurance to cover my 2 cars on the basis that I could then drive anything as well so handy for driving mates cars back from pub etc... but was looking at £2k+

cheers

Gareth

I`ll post the name, cant think of it the noo ..

Its a good policy plus theres no excess either? either the girl that ran it through was new lol or its because its not my main job.. secondary income discount applys..

Yeah, and there may be a lot of clauses too.  Worth reading the small print on it for sure.

pretty much yeah lol.. iv spoken to the dvla and a few people about it all and at the moment you can register a car as long as you have a valid certificate, it dosnt need the car details on it the now.. and i ended up phoning a few trade insurures for quotes, told them what im doing and asked them to find me the best solotion, ended up with road runner..
