I thought i had better let ya look at this quite bad fell off the trailer after 30mins of picking it up :(
*makes the Errr-Errr noise off of Family Fortunes*
That doesn\'t look good mate.
thats nasty looking, is it yours? how was it fastened down? is that some sort of small hatchback pulling the trailer?
you see so many unsafe loads on trailers, i often wonder how they stay on. im not meaning any offence by that if it was your car, just a general comment.
Noooo! Not another mangled 7! You must be absolutely gutted mate. Did you even get to drive it?
trouble is they are so light, you really have to strap them on tight, coz they move around all over the place.
Never got to drive it, it\'s at my house now it surprisingly isn\'t that bad it has absolutely no chassis damage or anything like that just the recovery man put a nice big hole in the petrol tank for me (pr**k) it has a hole in the floor other than the obvious it\'s fine.
No the small hatchback wasn\'t towing the trailer it was my old mans freelander but the tyre came off that as it did a massive powerslide down the M60 so i just used my missus car to pull the trailer off the main carriageway i know you was only asking in general buddy no worries
well i hope you get it fixed up soon mate. i suppose you got to look on the positive side, it could have been soooo much worse
It was strapped down well as i thought quite well but obviously not good enough it was pulled down by 2 straps on the front towing eyes (one either side) and 2 through the rear wheels each side and ragged tight with the handbrake firmly in place. But what happened was i was going down the M60 at a steady 50MPH (and yes it was 50 by the way lol) the trailer started snaking a bit so i eased off the accelerator and then a lorry overtook me and i assume that with the trailer doing a slight snake anyway the draft from the lorry sent it on its way. Lost total control and the car just snapped all the straps bar 1 that you can see hanging near the door. And hopped straight onto the barrier police turned up about 30 seconds after it happened and said it was lack of experiance. But the recovery people were right savage they just wanted to rip the car off the barrier so i could only interfere and help them take the wheel off that was over the barrier and about 6 of us managed to hop the car over the barrier and safely back to their depot. Where they charged me £440 for a 10 mile trip.
How Nice
Yep you are so right Pete i mean at the end of the day and no offence to anyone allthough i hate to say it it\'s only a bit of metal (sorry)
