Title: Mid Flutter!
Post by: Headmaster on July 24, 2005, 04:26:44 PM
Hi,

Can anybody point me in the right direction! My Rx has not been running that well in that the car pulls away, then when foot goes down in mid revs it Flutters then clears abit and pulls a bit more. Feels like it need setting up or maybe a pipe split of something. I would like to have a look around and see but do not know where to look!
Thanks
Ian

With the engine running run your ear around the engine bay. You should/would hear air leaking if you have a split pipe.

If you dont hear anything you could have a pipe collapsing with heat.

Do you have a boost gauge? What is it reading?

if you\'re on sequential twins, it does drop power at around 4.5k revs before picking up big time. A biproduct of the second turbo coming on line.

post#2/ Yes I have a gauge! But it was on the car when I got it so do not know if it reads right but it displays from 0.1 - 0.5 I think then moves a bit when driving but not much, I think. Can really hear much but would like to know where to look!
