Title: Fuelling!!!!!!!
Post by: Rx7Chris on July 22, 2005, 05:34:38 PM
Hi Everyone

I\'m new to this site just having a look around and wondered i have just bought a 92\' FD just been imported and wondered if you need to adjust the fuelling because as far as i know the Jap\'s run on 100 Ron and our max is only 98 Ron is this going to be a problem??????

Also i have converted the rear reverse light into a foglight what are the restrictions on this (brightness etc..??).

Thanks Guys

well not being an expert i would have a expert look at it and get it runing on 98/97 Ron fuel ... and have it mapped to accept the fuel . As the fuel wont burn as hot and could casue problems when detonating . Not the right air/fuel mix .
but as i said i am no expert so could be completly wrong .

Best take it to your local rolling road setup and get them to check it out. What ECU does the car have fitted? If you know.

As for the fog light, not sure, but I think you can do a google on MOT and it should give something up.

Fog light regulations should be in the SVA manual which can be found online (hint look on pistonheads.com forums) they are originally specified in the construction and use regulations an MOT will only check that it is fitted and is working (if it is required for the age of vehicle that is)

You should be fine running on SUL, problems start when modding.
