Title: Bosted Glove BOX!
Post by: Ricco_04 on July 20, 2005, 01:30:27 PM
Hi all,

Just wanted to pick your brains....The catch on my glove box seems to be broken.  Took it off and droped the handle out to get out what was rattleing (twas a small screw) I presume it is just this screw that is causing it not to lock & shut in place.

Problem is - is the glove box a sealed unit / is there any way I can fix without breaking it!  :xconfused

Thanks

Sounds like youre having the same problem I had.  A short screw fell out meaning the latch could play and my glove box both would not shut correctly and other times got stuck shut.  I ended up getting an old knife, heating it up on my gas cooker and sliding it behind the front panel to get to the workings inside.  Once the screw was back in place and everything looked aok, I epoxy glued it back together over night and now its perfect.

cheers

Thank you Eyedee - a Blue Peter special it is then.  I was a little afraid of breaking it completley. I will have a go soon (reads like maybe December time!)

Cheers, Ricco.  :wave
