Title: Manifold for going single... what do you use?
Post by: Mike on July 19, 2005, 09:30:51 PM
As the title says which manifold are you FD guys using?

Probably one for those who have built theirs from scratch rather than bought a kit.

Also to all single owners where does your manifold position the turbo? Stock location or up and forward?

Cheers,
Mike.

The HKS cast type holds the single in a low position almost the same as the twins, slightly back from where the front twin compressor housing is. Most tubular manifolds hold the single higher and more forward , some of the less expensive tubular ones could use some strengthening welds on the joints and supports

the stainless tubular ones are very noisy,  cast ones are the best but much more expensive
