Title: What paint?
Post by: Makino on July 15, 2005, 10:34:51 AM
I would like to spray a template on my V mount intercooler. I was thinking of using just ordinary canned spray but then realised what effects it could have on my intercooler? Any suggestions on what to use?

Cheers!

Any paint will do, so long as it is not water based.

Possibly slightly off thread, but if you go to //www.justliketherealthing.co.uk/tools/tools.htm , item PWSA019 etch primer is superb, it sticks to anything superbly, and has by far the smoothest finish I have ever come across. Apparently it has been developed by the german automotive industry. I use it for my model railways, and for painting stainless steel, brass, plastics or aluminium I have never found anything that comes close.
