In brief
Car went for its MOT 4 months back. The cat was put back on for the emissions test. On the way home i noticed it would not accelarate like it used to. Boost comes at about 13 psi and stays the whole time. There is no stutter. It just feels like the boost is not getting there.
Since this problem i have replaced
Full exhaust and mid pipe and downpipe
apexi PFC and commander
Full non- sequential with ported wastegate
new plugs and leads
new fuel fillter
new manifold gasgets
Double throttle removed
Have tested
All 3 thermosensors
injector resistances
have tested the coils they are within what the book says
same with the o2 sensor and boost sensor
It has been on the dyno and came up with 125rwhp
Have tried a compression test and think they are all about 600 give or take 50.
the boost reading is taken from the uim so therefor it cant be a boost presure problem can it?
I am tearing my hair out trying to fix it.
I need to test fuel pressure but where to get a pressure gauge from??
have also posted on rx7club.com

having read the other thread i also think it could be the clutch slipping, but if you have tested it (4th gear low revs, floor it, revs rise but car doesn\'t accelerate) and it is okay, then i am at a loss....
Sorry for the lack of help.
when you say comperssion of 600, do you mean 6 Bar?
Cheers
Jon
So when driving, it rises to 13psi and stays there? I\'m assuming it comes back down ok and its not a didgy reading?
What are you getting on the knock reading?
SOunds like it could be a fail safe mode caused by changing the exhaust to a restricted type and not running the right map?
Both the standard ecu and PFC are doing the same so surely the PFC doesnt have any kind of limp modes?. How do i measure the knock. the pfc measures knock but how do i no whats good or bad.
i dont think its the clutch as you dont see the revs build up fast or hear them.
thanks for ur help
PFC does have a limp mode I believe.
Finally iv fixed it. It turns out it was one of the coils breaking down under boost.
thanks to carl at hayward rotary for his kindness and help.
