Title: Sheffield Garages
Post by: Flateric on July 12, 2005, 04:05:13 PM
Hi All,

I\'ve just bought an RX7 and thought i\'d find out if anyone could recommend a garage for work / servicing on it.

Nothing wrong yet but I think i\'d  best know for future reference.

Cheers

WGT in Northwich , only specialist in the north , speak to Pip , Its a bit of a drive but its a great excuse for driving over the Snake pass

you could probably entrust minor works to a local garage but if your any good with your hands do it yourself , definatley learn how to change plugs and oil yourself , needs doing every 3000 miles and it can be pricey to get a garage to do it everytime , the plugs are a bit of a pain untill you get used to it but after that its a doddle

Give me a shout if you need a hand , be nice to see another FD round these parts

I may have to take you up on that offer at some point.

yay, a local rex! :D

where abouts in Barnsley are you? and what colour did you go for? i\'ll have to keep an eye out for you now :)

so far with mine i\'ve only had minor things done (new disks/pads) so i got those done at the same garage i\'ve always used and trusted, but for anything engine related I plan on either using WGT in cheshire (1hr away) or Jimmy\'s in norwich (2.5hrs away).

That\'s 3 of us in Barnsley now, get set for world domination! (I\'m near Darton).

Flat Eric, best bet is WGT, he\'s a bit dear, but well worth it.  if you need someone to have a quick look over your\'s let me know, mine was well poorly when i bought it, so i have a reasonable idea what i\'m looking at under the bonnet as i\'ve spent the last 2 years fixing one thing after the other (including taking engine out and stripping it down to bare block for WGT to rebuild).

Cheers
Jon

Looks like Barnsley is becoming a hot spot for em. I\'m in Hoyland and i\'ve gone for a silver one.

Flat eric ,

I need to see a pic of your car , it looks like you might have the same kit as mine ( mazdaspeed 15th ) well at least the front nose , please tell me I\'m wrong as my cars also silver and as far as I know I\'m the only one in the country with this kit

If its just the front nose I can live with that as GaryS has it as well but I\'m the only on with the funder extensions and skirts

Unfortunately I don\'t know which kit it is but you can have a look at these pics and decide for yourself.

The rear spoiler is definately different.

Sorry they aren\'t the best pics in the world but it was just so bright when I was taking them.

Yeah you\'ve got a mazdaspeed 15th anniversary nose , same as mine but you aint got the rest of the kit , looks like you\'ve got no side skirts at all

this is what the whole kit looks like

Sorry I misread the e-mail before. No there aren\'t any skirts on it, I am going to rectify that soon though.

Your car is looking really sweet. Have you got any pics of the back?
