Hi,
This is my first post on the site, even though i\'ve been using it for a while now- u lot are very helpful.
I\'m now stuck though, could find info on search.
I\'m in the process of fitting a set of lambo doors, which needs the wings removing. I\'ve found and removed all bolts and can now see that the wing is only attached by the area where it meets the front bumper (hooked over guide pins).
Does the front bumper need to come off too?? If so, could some one tell me where the mountings are?
Thanks in advance
Rich
hi and welcome 2 mrc.
if u take the head lights out it will make it easyer to remover the bolt at the front of the wings,
i think u can leave the bumper on,but imho id take it off just in case u damage it,
got any pic of ur car
i take it uv got an fd? :wave
Hi,
Yeah is FD, dont have ne good pics at the mo, will post some when i get these lambos on!
I\'ve already removed the lights to get at the bolt, and have removed the 3 nuts there also. But the studs that the nuts go on to are attached to front bumper, go through support and wings, from what i can tell??
Not my thing, but I\'d be interested to see some pics of the work in progress.
i had 1 of my wings of not so long ago,i cant even remember, i think the bumper has to be pull\'d out a bit so the wing will pull out, 1st time i took 1 off i didnt notice the plastic inner arch had little plastic bolts holdin it to the wing

lol :spank sort it out
Hi Rich and welcome to MRC.
You will find you need to take down the plastic inner arch then undo the obvious top row of bolts after lifting the bonnet, and now open the door and remove the bolt on the widow screen pillar, then the two under the edge of the door sill.
Now for the pig ones, the three on the front edge of the wing behind the head-lamp !.
Personaly l have found these easiest to remove with a 10mm ratchet spanner with your arm pointing verticaly upwards from under the car behinds the bumper air intake, and yes you can remove the wing without disturbing the nosecone.
Hope this helps.

try this link, if u havent figured it out im rubbish with computers!! lol
Thanks Clive,
This is what i have done so far! All bolts removed but seems to be holding on in this area, didnt want to force it though- does it need abit of a tug to get it off so to speak??
problem solved!!
I loosened the top 4 bolts holding the nose cone on- this give the extra leverage to get the wings off.
hopefully i\'ll post pics when done, if i can figure out how to get them up on the site!

That\'ll be the one stu0x, cheers for posting the pic!
Hi leigh, thanks for the kind offer of help, may take you up on it, but all seems under control at the mo! I\'m just down the road from you in Park Gate/ Warsash area. Is it you in a Yellow RX that i keep seeing about that way?
Just around the corner from me then. No that\'s not me in the yellow one thats my neighbour Nathan, nice looking car that not sure about the colour (what do you think Clive ;) ) Mines a silver one and you have got Ian in Park Gate as well his is black and real mean looking and very quick.
Let me know if you need any contacts for paint work, I know a very good sprayer and he aint scared of fitting bodykits. Just found out about another sprayer supposed too be good at just the little annoying touch up bits.
Will keep me eye open for you as I go through Park Gate best regards Leigh.
P.S Would like too see the lambo doors in action when you finish them, have a mate who wants them on his Rex.
