My insurance has jumped from £350p/a fully comp on the EGi to £650 fully comp for the TII, and I can only get quotes from about 4 companies, all of which want around the £1000 mark! I was paying less than that for my 3rd gen!
WTF is going on? :reallymad
Insurance has gone up since you had the 3rd Gen?
My premium came down by abotu £200 this year but is still painful.
tried classic car insurance? the T2 must be of that age? should get it cheaper, try herts insurance, dont have the number to hand but Im sure a google search will throw them up
sureterm direct gave me 305 f/c on tii cab 6000 miles p/a + 2 named drivers
Problem I\'ve got atm is that nearly every insurer I\'ve called is refusing anybody under 25 on an rx7.
I\'ve got until the 24th to get the best deal sorted, so I\'ll see what I can turn up, but after a week of phone calls its not looking good :(
Well performance direct want £506, which is heading in the right direction!
Found A-PLAN to be very good talk to phillip seemed to know what he was talking about on -- 0845 0711 234
Hope this helps.
Cheers, calling them now :)
I\'m struggling to get decent deal on my UK FD. best quote starting on wednesday this week is A-Plan at £980, If I wait till 25 on August 5th carinsurance4u.co.uk can do it for £840 with £500 excess. Surprise for me so far was Swinton insurance with £990 at 24 with £270 excess.
It\'s a mare getting a UK FD insured though most people do not have an 1992 RX7 manual listed as 2616cc. Most have it as an auto, others have RX7\'s but listed as 2354cc.
Interesting, Norwich Union will no longer insure drivers under 25 on an Rx7.
Last year they were happy to quote me!
£350 classic policy with houghtons for me @ the age of 24.
have you a number for houghtons. not sure if I\'ve tried them yet
cheers
Gareth
Managed to get Adrian Flux down to £440 p/a so I\'m staying with them for another year.
They are very good about beating quotes from other insurers :)
