Not for me (bit too bling :cool), friend at work wants to get his wheels re-chromed, anyone had this done, idea of cost, etc, cheers

I had chrome wheels on my MR2, they look nice but take a lot of looking after, and after a while if the chroming was not good it starts to peel off.
If i was going to go down that route again i would get the alloys polished up to a mirror finish then get them laquered.
From what i can remember when i was looking to get the mr2 wheels re-chromed it worked out at about £80 - £100 a wheel, dunno if it cost more cuz they where already chromed and had to be stripped first.
In the end i did\'nt bother and sold them.
Best bet is to do a search on the web for chromers and get a few quotes, thats what i did.
Cheers mate, was just after a rough number to pass along, hes had the same trouble, said he wouldnt bother getting another set of chromes in this country, just aint got the weather for \'em.
I had a set of bk 121\'s on my old scoob and the chrome started to peal off of those, when i make enquiries into gettin them re-chromed i was told by 3 major wheel refurbishers that it can\'t be done in this country and they had to be sent 2 Germany to be done which was v.expensive....... I had them mirror polished instead...... it has more or less the same look, isn\'t as expensive and won\'t peal off as it\'s not plated in any way just dimond cut and polished

It was about 70/80 squid a rim for 17\'s.......... i think ........ i\'ll have a check n let ya know jst to be sure
