Title: OMP failure
Post by: kbareham on July 10, 2005, 09:34:15 PM

Whats the opinion on running premixed 2 stroke as a temporary measure while the Oil Metering Pump has failed? My standard FD is stuck in limp home with code 27 in the ECU. Unfortunately I need the car and don\'t really have time to change the OMP right now, so I am considering putting 100:1 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank because I have no idea how much oil (if any) the OMP might be putting in.
I only need to cruise along on the motorway, and it is drivable up to the cut-out at about atmospheric pressure while in limp home. Any ideas whether this is safe for a couple of journey\'s? :xconfused
