Been looking at Rota rims for a while as some of you know, because they weigh beggar all. I\'ve had what must be one of the most useful replies to an email ever from TrackTec.co.uk, as a result of which I\'m looking at these badboys...
Now I\'ve got a choice of gunmetal or silver only in RX8 fitment, so here\'s gunmetal (helpfully on a yellow car, although obviously only 16s in the pic!)

and here\'s silver

I\'m inclined towards gunmetal, and so is the guy at TrackTec, but thought I\'d get your thoughts!
The 8 is a bugger for brake dust, so there\'s an argument for gunmetal, but these will be track wheels, and kerbing might show up more on the gunmetal style because of the high-contrast rim...
Nice wheels. Like them both silver and gunmetal, but personally i\'d choose the gunmetal finish. I\'ve always had a bit of a thing for gunmetal and black finished wheels though. The contrasting rim on these ones draws your attention to them and makes them stand out more I think. As you say the brake dust won\'t show so bad especially after a hard sesh on the track. Are you going bigger than 18" or just keeping them at that?

Gunmetal would be my choice ;)
19" wheels are heavy - no getting away from that really. Plus I do want to use them on B-roads from time to time so /35 tyres are probably out of the question...
And then there\'s the sheer cost of 19" tyres! :o
It\'s the contrast that does it for me as well!
Aha, found this on the US forum...

These are the alloys which mine are a blatant copy of, by the look of it, and it just so happens someone\'s put them on a yellow fellow!
