Title: Lumpy deceleration?
Post by: R32 Nik on July 26, 2003, 09:56:36 PM
Hi all, I\'m new to rotary motors (just bought an \'86 2nd gen non turbo 13B RX7) and it seems that when I take my foot off the throttle or apply the brakes, the motor goes very lumpy. Please excuse my ignorance but I just wondered if this was normal or if anybody knew why this should be happening?

Thanx for your time

Nik

P.S. although I\'ve only had the 7 for a week, I love it already

hey

have you checked all the usual suspects?
spark plugs(can also show over/under fueling)
leads
filters
blocked cats
earth leads

im not an expert but those are the things i\'d check first. Im sure that those would effect acceleration too, although you might not notice if you haven\'t ever driven a similar car before.

the people who would normally beable to help with more technical answers will be away till tomorrow night as they are all at billing at the moment. Although its not looking good for me to get there at the moment:( :( :( :(
