Title: advise required, Alternater pulley removal (air pump)
Post by: Eddie on June 30, 2005, 10:40:25 PM
Hi back again for more advise:)

can anyone tell me how I would remove the bolt on the alternater, I have a greedy set of pulleys which allows the removal of the air pump, but cant budge as it spins:)
I am sure its simple just need to know what tool is needed.

Should have taken it to WGT but I just like having a go at things.

Also I have removed the air pump, the car had the cat removed by pip when I first got it.
Apart from unpluging the power and blocking the big tube do I need to do anything else.

I am fitting a apexi ECU whilst I am at it so this I believe should sort out any ideling problems form removing the pump? or I am totally wrong.

Any help apreciated.

Cheers

You need a compressor to get it off, if you dont have one, just take your alternator to any garage and ask them, they should do it for free.
