Title: SMIC\'s
Post by: D2BBA on June 30, 2005, 07:08:07 PM
Hi Folks,

Need a bit of advise before I part with more hard earned!  Apologies if questions sound a bit daft.

I\'m looking to upgrade the stock mount intercooler.  I confess that at the moment i\'m only interested in "looks" under the hood, as the power gains will be next year when the apexi is fitted.  I\'ve been looking at polished SMICs, that are thicker than normal.

The question is, being as i\'m paranoid about boost spikes and only run a stock engine (with HKS induction, plug, coil and lead upgrades), will a bigger SMIC spike the boost, or will I be OK?

Finally, how can I improve airflow to the SMIC?  It cant be good where it is!

Thanks guys
Chris Dobson

Short answer is the FD\'s SMIC should be re-named inter heater, if it is only looks then go for a nice Pettit polished up-rated interheater
