hey all,
i have allways liked the idea of owning an rx7. i have carfully looked into getting an FD but for the sake of being able to maintain it properly i think i\'ll have to wait till i\'ve saved up a bit more cash.
so with the FD out the picture the FC turbo 2 springs to mind straight away.
with the much lower price of the car i have more than enough money to spare to look after it and if the engine needs a rebuild i wont be short of pennies.
i have read as much information as i can find on the forums about the fct2 and i think i have a rough idea of what would be a good buy and what wouldnt.
however this will be my first non piston engined car so any pointers on what to look out for would be great.
i\'ve had a little hunt round the net looking for fc\'s for sale. there seem to be very few turbo 2\'s with a hard top. i\'d rather not have the soft top if i can avoid it.
what price should i expect to pay for a fairly good condition fc turbo 2 hardtop?
if i do find a car that i think is worth buying, would any of the club members be happy to give it a once over before i part with the cash? i suppose this depends on where the car is being sold.
thanks in advance
Luke.
I\'m surprised you think theres more convertibles than coupes?!? Its cab selling season though so that would explain a few things!
T2REW has a nice TII for sale in the for sale section at the moment. And by all means give us a shout in the 2nd gen section for any advice etc you need :)
Oh and with the TII\'s, watch the floor its very prone to rust and paper thin to boot. :wave
check for RUST RUST RUST RUST - did i mention RUST !!
check out T2REW\'s car - looks very tasty and im sure you could talk him down a bob or two !

thanks for the welcome!
wow that car is a minter! exactly what i\'m after. fingers crossed he\'ll still have it in a month or so.
doing my research now rather than when i have a pile of money burning a hole in my pocket. i\'ve got to sell my current car first.
i\'m sure they dont come as mint as that often but do coupes come up for sale quite often?
right i spose i better get to the fc section to ask more technical questions.
