Title: Colour coding the interior
Post by: D2BBA on June 22, 2005, 02:01:18 PM
Hi folks,

Looking to colour code the centre console and dash surround on my \'92 FD.  I know that alot have been done, but how easy is it?

The centre console simply unclips, but what about the dash trim?  Do I have to take the dash out or remove the clocks?  While i\'m on can you remove the heater vents to allow for colour coding without masking them?

Sorry for the barage of questions!!!

Thanks again

The dash and door cards are all screwed on, its a case of staring with what screws you can see and digging deeper. The central heater vents are not included in what most ppl paint.

It does take patience and care, especially the passenger door card. As I remember there is a screw you access through the door release lever, took me ages to find it.

Worth the effort but not something to do in a hurry.

The passenger doorcard also has a screw underneath the electric window switch, Gently prise the whole swicth unit out and you\'ll see a screw there, its a total pain to get back in without a magnetic screwdriver as well. Took me ages to find that screw.

Theres a how to ...? for the dashboard removal at
