Title: What tyres/size for stock 16" rim?
Post by: <--rYaN--> on June 20, 2005, 08:37:07 PM
I need 2 new tyres for my 99 spec 16" wheels and i was wondering what is the widest tyre i can get on the stock rims?? Are they 9 or 9.5 inches??

And more importantly, are the wheels the same width front and back??

Any recommended tyres, i\'ve tried the Michellin Pilot Sport and Eagle F1\'s, not sure whether to go with these again if there are better ones about?? (no semi-slicks as nice as they look ;) )

8" aren\'t they unless they\'re wider on the later ones which i doubt.....?

At a guess you got the 9" from the 17" wheels. 16\'s are 8\'s, 17\'s from Mazda are 9\'s up front and 9.5 or 10 at the rear.

Ah, mine are definitely the 16\'s (wish they were the 17\'s :D ) so does that mean they are 8 all round?? I need new tyres on the front wheels you see, so i was thinking of getting the widest tyres i can on the front, and swap the wheels over to the back if they are the same width
