Title: Dump valves, which one??
Post by: J.j. on June 16, 2005, 02:06:34 PM
Hi guys,
Just wondering what dump valves you use on yours, and what you think of it?
On my last rex, I had HKS SSQV, from what I read, the SSQV being a pull type unlike push types, wouldnt cause idling problems.  I was quite happy with it and was gonna get another one for the current rex.
Met up with a mate last night, and was told that lots of people in the Mr2 forum are dumping their SSQV coz some sort of leak or ....... ???   :xconfused

Cheers

I have the SSQV on my mr2 and ive never had any problems with it, apart from the fact it got on my tits and I ended up getting the re circ kit for it.

Very good point veilside....   :yes

Got a mate who\'s going to Hong Kong soon, so will be able to get them very very cheap.   :D
Just have to decide which ones.....
You had SSQV before as well didnt you??  What you think??

If you want Dump Valves have a look at these, from mild to wild (Magasonic)
and we can supply them all. ;)

Change the insert then, I had all the inserts you can get for it, silver, purple and re circ. Nothing wrong with the SSQV.  :spank

On a standardish car (Cat back, Filter, FCD) is it worth putting an after market BOV on, or are people doing it purely for the noise?

I\'m thinking of doing it to simplify my air induction lines.

bailey single piston dump valve 80.00 quid shiny and nice and loud most will give this sound allways best with induction kits as well as this amplifies the noise..never have liked the hks sounds like someone whistling...depends as well on ur set up as to what fits where but for simplicity of operation the bailey single piston looks and sounds good why pay more..if u have space the turbo xs valves are supposed to be loud
