Down to much deliberation i have to sell my White 88 auto turbo cabriolet. She is running but needs a little attention to get her running sweer again. Top spec all leather with the headrest speaker seats, unmodified engine bay, large spoiler on the rear which really bring out the lines of the car, 16" Split rims they could do with a refurb but are awsome Jap racing rims can\'t remember the make but can find out for you (my local tyre place said they are worth a small fortune, hes said he\'s never picked up a split rim so light), Is debadged all round has mot till Oct (i think) and tax till 07/05. The things that need sorting, backboxes are sat in my garage hence she makes one hell of a noise and will need 3new tyres very shortly, also some new HTleads and spark plugs wouldnt go amiss. I changed the coolant and the oil+oil filter about 500miles ago. She does run although the exhaust needs sortin. Shes sat at 83Kmiles and allegedly had a rebuild at 65K this i have only the last onwers word. I have plumbed in a boost gauge but apart from that not tinkerd around with anything else. The hoods in great condition and folds down perfectly. She is a dream of a car and i hope she goes to someone who can spend some time on her. i just cant really justify having 2 rx7\'s - if i has the space i would really jump at this opportunity - but i have to sell the better halfs rover - even then parking is an issue - i really dont want to miss this car at this money though .. im stuck between a rock and a hard place and its really unfair
the better halfs car is paid for - so once sold - i wont be like im spending a lot of money - it just needs to work iself out very quickly or i will miss out - i have the cash in the bank - thats NO problem - its just that i will struggle with 5 cars

whats happening - im going thru every idea i can think of
problems are
1 - will have 4 cars to tax/mot/insure
2 - sell the coupe and keep the cab ( err not with the amount of welding i did )
3 - kill better half and bury her under the patio ( lots of work to dig up and re-lay patio )
4 - miss out on cab - dont like this idea
5 - buy a bigger house with a bigger drive ( Hmmmm thats a hell of a lot of cash )
6 - sell rover buy cab - WINNNNNER :)
thats all i can think of - but i need to be sensible and do this right - problem is - i have always wanted a cab - im even tempted to buy it - run it thru summer and sell it on ??

Er..why not go and see what you can get for your coupe if you sell it in a hurry. (I reckon you\'d get £1750+ cash if you took it to a dealer and said you needed to deal the same day) That would then leave you a grand for toys. Alternatively sell the missus with the rover :evillaugh

Well i have never changed the plugs and leads but when i was changing the oil and coolant i whipped them out to clean them up and i just thought it wouldnt hurt to change them but didnt buy the right ones so the oldens went back in, and the leads are starting to show their age, they dont sit on the plugs nice and tight
5. There is one tear in the roof on the corner back pass side about 3" in length, where they all go on the join but this is only the covering fabric on the hard part of the roof, its an easy stitch up job and it dosent leak.

7. Roof folds down a treat as it did the day it was made
8. Only ever had 1 leak when it was terrential and i mean it was belting it down and i was on the motorway and it was dripping lightly through the seal of the roof and the pass window, never opened her up in the morn to find pools of water though like some
9. I have\'nt looked deeply but from what i can see from doing general maintanance (spelt wrong i\'m sure) their is very little, very little indeed.

12. Seats are in great condition just the drivers side has a tear from getting in and out, the usual wear on a car 16yrs old. Not heated and the headrest speakers dont work, they just need wireing up but i just never had time.
13. Their are no back boxes on the car at present just the downpipe, decat and the two pipes leading to the back boxes. They had simply rusted at the flanges and fall off, i have them in the garage they are not standard, have \'cherry bomb design\' written on the side of them and i\'m sure can be salvaged if your handy with a blowtorch, i\'m not hence they are still in the garage.
14. Yes its drivable, i\'m not driving it at present as i\'m now using my new car which sad to say SUCKS but its a diesel and i do alot of miles. It seems to hesitate at lower speeds and about 3K rpms when the turbo kicks in it seems to hesistate again but them goes fine. I was trying to figure out what it could be, once its going its fine. Think its all to do with the lack of proper exhaust system as the turbo works off the exhaust gases and maybe it miss fires every now and then or summin, hence maybe new leads and plugs. But you\'ll be able to drive it home.
15. Back boxes are in the garage, only real spares i have
16. Yeah no leccie gremlins, just the ariel has no motor and the headrest speakers not wired in everything else pucker
17. Dosent use oil/water well only in the way its supposed too, had changed the oil and coolant not long back and a new oil filter
18. General overall condtion is great, its a crowd puller and a head turner.
19. Never had a problem with the auto box, it pulls through the gears fine the overdrive works as it should and the kick down is good fun ;o)
20.Yeah put your foot to the floor and it\'ll knock it down a gear and launch you at an alarming rate towards the car in front....yeah it all works as should
21. Taxed until 07/05 i will check mot when i get back and txt it to ya then update here when i can

The cruise control works fine aswell, ohh ohh the window wiper control needs looking at it is either on or off, the intermittent wiping thing dosent work, think the switch just needs taking apart and putting back together properly.

( Hummmm new toys for stu maybe ?? )
no didnt get it, am hardly at home at mo but will be in tonight. Yeah its an electric roof with the control button on the dash, it has a cd player but to be fair its c**p its old it sucks and the screen doesnt work but it will pick up the radio and play cds so it never bothered me. Was in the middle of doing a build for it but this has had to stop. Made a shelf for the back with 2 10" subs 2 6x9\'s and a big 700watt Alpine digi mono amp, the shelf can stay and the 6x9\'s but the subs and amps are sold already. Yeah ideally cash as i say am off in amonths time so will come in handy.
And although its a bit of a sketchy drive i am confident enough to say that if you wanna pay for a train journey home and petrol money there i\'ll drive it to yours. But obviously you ideally want to come have a look at her 1st. But once its going its fine just the hesistation at lower speeds think due to the exhaust blowing so much, will happily cruise on the m\'way at 70
Anyway am gonna get outta here as my bills racking up and i cant handle drinking anymore coffee, will try and pop back tomoro

Well the car is still for sale guys and if you ask Stu i\'m sure he\'ll let you know that the bodywork on my car is 2nd to none, just the fact that it will proberly need a new exhaust. i can confirm that the body is in OK condition ( apart from the front bumper is a bit chipped and the paint is cracked )
the underside is in A1 condition as its been in japan until 1999 :) - in fact i would go asfar as saying its in SUPERB condition underneath
adam - if you still cant shift it at the end of the july - i will come and buy it for a reduced price :) - just let me get a trailor sorted out :)
